He’s spent his entire career researching the science of baseball in an effort to reduce pitching injury rates.

Glenn Fleisig, PhD earned his engineering degrees from MIT, Washington University, and UAB. In 1987, Dr. Fleisig was hired by Dr. Andrews to head up research at the newly formed American Sports Medicine Institute, which he is still doing. In 2020, Dr. Fleisig created the American Baseball Biomechanics Society. Dr. Fleisig is also an advisor for Major League Baseball, USA Baseball, and Little League Baseball.
