Your group looks like an old boys club. One woman in the bunch. I feel like sports rehab is becoming the realm of the old jocks, exclusionary not inclusionary.

Tim our practice has two women running a sport-specific program. It’s based on interest and competence not gender. It’s no service to women when they’re placed in the limelight merely to meet arbitrary gender quotas.

curious why the group was unanimous about the target of application(muscle) and excluding tendon( or even bone, if used lightly)…if the nature of the modality(mechanical waveform) is good for the goose but not the gander?

Some research that i was able to read say that vibration therapy provides anabolic mechanical signals to bone and musculo-tendinous system. In most cases best effects seem to be achieved with devices that deliver low-intensity stimuli at high frequencies providing linear horizontal displacement. I also use it in my practice and it does great job relaxing stiff areas. I am waiting for Hypervolt to arrive since so many people recommend that one. At 5:45 or 6:00 mark, i agree that is helps and every method that helps is welcome, since you need to mix methods to help your patients. Thank you for the podcast. Have a pain free day :)
